The project was to create an exclusive Private Business Lounge for a corporate enterprise with a sizeable garden, albeit surrounded by large horizontal and vertical edifices all around.
The analogy developed was that of a Lotus that blooms in a muddy, marshy, pond. It further connected as the expression of the client company itself. The Lotus being the seat of both Laxmi and Saraswati, Wealth and Knowledge.
A certain degree of transparency / porosity prevails through the entire club with the rooms always engaging the outdoors. The board room thus overlooks a Zen garden while the lounge extends onto the party lawns through a verandah and the dining opens onto a water body with fountains. Other facilities include meeting rooms, a library, multipurpose hall and banqueting.
We at SCA created an atmosphere of tranquility whilst retaining corporate dynamism in the work area such as the board room.
