The Essar School heralds itself within the 225 acre Vadinar township by the 38.50 Mt. high clock tower, that holds the township’s streets on one axis and the school’s courtyards on the other.

Articulated to fit within the aesthetic idiom established by the urban design guidelines of the master plan, the school re establishes the traditional Krierian spatial organization of its genetic typology, as an analogous city for children within the larger City of the township. Elements like the clock tower, city square, courtyards, arcades and collanades, grand flights of stairs, hypostyle halls, etc. evoke a De Chirico-esque urbanscape of memory, imagebility and discovery
